Religious Education
The Ministry and
Oversight Committee has begun holding monthly forums, which will
involve breaking into small groups to discuss specific queries
relevant to our Quaker faith and practice.
The goal is to "listen intimately" to each other,
as we each ponder and search for our individual response to
questions regarding our spiritual search. This is in the
spirit of George Fox's well-known quote: "You will say, "Christ
sayeth this, and the apostles say this', but what canst thou say?
Art thou a child of the Light, and hast thou walked in the Light,
and what thou speakest, is it inwardly from God?"
It is hoped that we can learn from each other,
and come to know each other better, in the fashion of Friends, which
is "to know each other in the things that are eternal".
